Expertise and quality of model making at the service of a passion
Description
The Rondeau M379 C was the third car to be entered in the Group 6 category by Jean Rondeau at the 1981 24 Hours of Le Mans when he put his title on the line.
Already associated with Rondeau in 1979-80 the brand Océanic is back on the ranks and is associated with the «Figaro Magazine» on the n°26 of Henri Pescarolo, «disassociated» of Jean Ragnotti for this time undoubtedly for reasons of size, and is team mated with Patrick Tambay, newcomer into the team.
It is 2nd after the first hour of racing behind the Porsche 908 No. 14 of Reinhold Joest. After Lafosse’s accident, a change of fuel pump stuck it into the pit during more than 2 hours. Pesca restarted but stopped three quarters of an hour later and will not resume the race.
