After extensive research and documentation, we carefully selected this model with the invaluable help of two dear friends—Targa Florio specialists who guided us wisely from the very beginning. We are deeply grateful to them. Without Karsten and Matthias, this replica would not exist.
This is a first in the world of slot cars: a 1/32 scale Ferrari 246 SP, winner of the 1961 Targa Florio with Olivier Gendebien and Wolfgang von Trips at the wheel. We have meticulously respected the scale, crafting the entire model by hand with an unwavering focus on every detail. It is entirely handmade in our workshop in Sabadell, near Barcelona.
Our Ferrari 246 SP is built with the finest materials and features a custom-designed 3D chassis. It is equipped with precision-calibrated axles, turned aluminum wheels, a calibrated gear, and a slim motor for an accurate cockpit reproduction.
Beyond von Trips at the wheel, we wanted to capture an iconic moment: after winning the race, Olivier Gendebien climbed onto the 246 SP to ride to the podium. To recreate this scene, each unit includes a finely detailed figure of the Belgian driver, designed to sit on the rear hood just as he did on April 30, 1961. (For optimal shipping, the figure is stored beneath the display base.)
For the presentation, we continue with our signature wooden chest-style box featuring a race-inspired diorama. By popular demand, we have introduced a new addition: raised display supports for better showcasing within the wooden case. Starting with this model, all future editions will include them. However, these supports will also be available separately via email request for those who own previous models and wish to display them in their original boxes.
The accompanying booklet, which provides a historical summary of the model, once again features a stunning pencil and ink illustration by the talented Diego Serrano.
