The #63 Chevrolet Corvette C8.R, entered by Corvette Racing in the GTE Pro class for the 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans, was driven by the experienced trio of Antonio García, Jordan Taylor, and Nicky Catsburg. Unfortunately, their campaign came to an abrupt end when Jordan Taylor crashed heavily into the barriers at the first chicane on the Mulsanne straight during the night, after 18 hours of racing. The car was running competitively at the time of the incident. Corvette Racing fielded both the #63 and #64 cars that year in their pursuit of GTE Pro victory.
The new Corvette C8.R from NSR makes a remarkable entry into the slot racing scene, with a resolutely high-tech approach and top-level performance!
Behind this exceptional car are years of research and development, with every detail optimized to maximize its track performance and make it the fastest GT3 on the circuit. The results are simply impressive.
Such extreme performance has been made possible through several factors working in parallel.
The use of advanced materials and cutting-edge construction technologies has allowed us to design a body with minimal thickness. This precision work on weight distribution and, consequently, the car’s center of gravity ensures maximum stability, even at high speeds.
But that's not all: the body rigidity has been reduced to deliver superior on-track performance. Through a series of technical optimizations, body torsion has been maximized, ensuring better stability and optimal grip in corners.
Furthermore, several innovative materials have been used for certain components to further enhance the car’s overall performance, including the integration of a break-resistant system on the wing.
The result? A car that is 10% lighter than the McLaren, ready to dominate every section of the track without compromise.
In summary, the new Corvette C8.R is a masterpiece of advanced research, outstanding performance, and striking design, making it the most high-performing GT3 NSR has ever created.
The Corvette C8.R is available in anglewinder configuration.
The AW engine is a King 21K EVO/3 with a magnetic effect, developing 21,400 RPM at 12 volts with a torque of 350 g/cm.
Special aluminum wheels with AIR SYSTEM technology, combined with soft rubber tires, provide exceptional grip on all types of track surfaces. 3/32” 60 HRC steel axles.
