The British Barn BB90R is a modified Toyota 88C, originally built by Tom's. The original turbocharged inline-4 engine was replaced with a 3.3-liter Ford DFL V8, and later with a 3.5-liter Ford DFZ V8 to comply with European regulations of the time. Despite its British-sounding name, the car was designed and modified in Japan and only competed on Japanese circuits. At the 1990 1,000 km of Suzuka, it finished 12th, driven by Jirou Yoneyama, Tsunehisa Asai, and Hideo Fukuyama.
