The Ford GT40 Mk II car number 4, entered by the Holman & Moody team, raced in the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans with drivers Mark Donohue and Paul Hawkins. Unfortunately, the car retired from the race due to mechanical issues and did not finish. Although this particular car did not complete the race, the 1966 Le Mans is historically significant for Ford's 1-2-3 sweep of the podium, marking the first time an American manufacturer dominated the race. Despite the n°4 car's retirement, it remains part of Ford's historic racing legacy.
