The history of rallies in Spain cannot be understood without Chus Puras. The Cantabrian, Spanish Rally champion on eight occasions is, together with Carlos Sainz and Dani Sordo, one of the few Spaniards who has won a test in the World Rally Championship. The car that we reproduced corresponds exactly to one of the WRC tests. It is the 1994 Monte Carlo Rally in which he participated as part of Group N with this Ford Escort with the main sponsor, Cepsa, and in which he finished in an outstanding ninth position. Monte Carlo was only the preface of a triumphant year for Puras. The king of asphalt, accompanied by Álex Romaní, would finish proclaiming that season champion of the Group N world.
