These axles are clearly oversized and fit into the widest ball bearing without any play. Couples that are too tight are the rule. Too loose almost impossible. Most axes have to be reground by approx. 2-6 thousandths of a mm. If you only value pure performance, this thick axle is better than a thin one. You can always sand down until it fits exactly, but stick on, because too thin, is not possible with axles. However, in most cases significantly more than just 1-2 thousandths of a mm must be sanded off. So more effort, more work, but in the end also more well-fitting couples.

Significant time improvements only by changing the axes. 1/32 Slot.it serial vehicle without magnet is about 1/10 - 2/10 sec. faster per 15 m distance only by changing the axles. If a clubmate unexpectedly departs from you, just ask him about his axes.
