The 205 Turbo 16 was the car of the official team Peugeot Talbot Sport between 1984 and 1986. The French brand created with this homologated car of Group B its most successful model: it obtained a total of 16 victories, 2 titles of constructor and 2 of pilot for Timo Salonen and Juha Kankkunen in the World Rally of 1985 and 1986.

Developed by Jean Todt, the Peugeot 205 T16 was a lightweight prototype with a plastic fiber body, four-wheel drive and turbocharging. That lightning suddenly appeared to prevail over the Audi and dominate the championship in the last two years where they admitted Group B cars, a spectacular category that barely rolled during four seasons of the World Rally but still in the memory of old fans.

When in 1986 the FIA banned Group B for safety reasons, the Peugeot 205 T16 found a second competitive life in the Dakar Rally. An adapted version won the 1987 editions with Ari Vatanen and 1988 with Juha Kankkunen.

We present the replica of the Peugeot No. 14 of the private team Team Gauloises Blondes with the decoration of the XXIX Rally of Corsica (Tour de Corse) of 1985 piloted by Bernard Darniche, with Alain Mahé as co-pilot.
