SCX Fiat 131 Abarth "Mouton-Montecarlo" A10194X300
Reference : A10194X300
Description
The company founded by Carlo Abarth specialised in converting cars from the FIAT group, normally designed to appeal to the masses, into ferocious beasts which would excite with the simple turn of the key in the ignition. Huge wheel arches, ailerons, powerful engines and board-like suspension converted many of the models into objects of desire of drivers and customers keen on speed. The 131 was one of the best displays of his work in the 1970s. The FIAT Mirafiori, with its finishings that were perfect for its time, became, through the efforts and the grace of the scorpion company, in a terrifying hot rod with a wild roar. The Frenchman, Michèle Mouton, was one of those commissioned with getting the most from the 131 Albarth in the World Rally Championship. In 1980, in Monte Carlo, and Annie Arrii as co-driver, took this model to seventh position. Flying over snow and wet tarmac, Mouton followed in the wake of Walter Röhrl and Björn Waldegard, winner and third, respectively, in this round of the Monaco race, both behind the wheel of a 131 Abarth.
