Description
Ferrari 330TRI which comes to LeMans in 1962 was specially designed by Scudéria to meet the requirements of the regulation of the new category prototype 4l. Few things remain of the previous version.

As the starting grid of this 30th edition of LeMans 24 Hours is ordered according to the engines capacity, the 330 TRI is not in pole. But at mid-race it is cleaned up and the battle takes place between Ferrari and...Ferrari.
The experienced teammates Hill-Gendebien end 5 laps ahead to their competitors; the GTO #19 of Jean Guichet and Pierre Noblet (3705GT) and #22 of Léon Dernier and Jean Blaton.
The victory of the TRI330 marks the last victory in LeMans of car with engine in front and the end of Oliver Gendebien's career who decides to stop.
